Clavicle fractures transcends age and has been a subject of debate regarding whether they be fixed or not. While according to biomechanics of the clavicle fracture which has been traditionally been treated with a support,we are moving towards surgical option for each and every case which is not ethical . Other than getting a surgical practice, it is too dangerous as many fractures operated go for nonunion with plate acting as distractor. Clavicle fractures managed nonoperatively have excellent results with little morbidity and less financial liability.Other than cosmetic look, functional incapabilities are nil. Fracture of clavicle should be individualized as far as treatment is concerned.
