Osteoarthritis- A myth or accepted reality

Osteoarthritis is a process of wear and tear which occurs as age advances. It starts after the age of 40 and the severity depends on the overall condition of the individual. A sedentary individual is more likely to get OA at an earlier age and the propensity is higher in females where the hormone withdrawal starts as she attains menopause at a later age. How to go around purely depends on the skill of the Orthopedic surgeon. While surgery is the final option, nowadays there are lot of nonoperative regimens to tackle the same.A correct pharmaceutical regimen with some exercise and lifestyles modification with support of the joint will tackle and slow the progression of OA in most of the individual.
